QA Technician

Pexco is looking for a QA Technician for our manufacturing plant located in Fife, WA.

The Quality Department has processes in place to ensure things run smoothly, and everyone is working towards the same goal, which is to produce quality products our customers are proud of.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist quality lead or designee with the dimensional measurement of extruded tubing and various tubing assemblies.
  • Visual inspection of extruded tubing and various tubing assemblies
  • Perform calibrations.
  • Initiation of proposed specifications and / or revision of existing specifications
  • Packaging and shipping product
  • Incoming / receiving inspection duties.
  • Production lot release activities
  • In process inspection activities
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and detailed records of activities.
  • Accurately use calipers, protractors, and other measuring devices to inspect parts.
  • Maintains compliance with Company and plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes all annual training as required.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during the entire shift, to include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications :

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in production environment preferred but not necessary, preferably with the Quality department.
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to perform basic mathematical computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Physical Demands :

  • Moving and lifting objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Walking, standing and otherwise perform job functions on concrete floors.
  • Occasional repetitive movements

Work Environment :

  • Works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Climate may be cold or hot depending on outside temperature.
  • Exposed to dust, odors, fumes, and noise associated with the extrusion and fabrication manufacturing processes.
