The Company :
Our client is a pioneering leader in advanced battery technology, working with leaders in the Li-ion battery value chain to provide high energy density batteries using next-generation Silicon Anode materials.
The Role :
The CTO will spearhead the company’s technology strategy, focusing on the development and commercialization of cutting-edge Si-Anode materials.
As a key member of the executive team, the CTO will oversee R&D, manage cross-functional technical teams, and drive partnerships to advance battery material innovations from concept to large-scale production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and execute the technology roadmap, particularly around next-generation Silicon anode Materials.
- Lead R&D initiatives to enhance performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability of battery materials.
- Drive innovation, IP development, and collaboration with external partners in academia and industry.
- Oversee pilot-to-production transition, ensuring technical validation and commercial readiness.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Required Qualifications :
- MS or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in battery technology, with deep expertise in Silicon Anode battery materials.
- Proven track record in R&D, commercialization, and scaling of advanced materials.
- Strong industry knowledge of Lithium ion batteries and emerging market trends.
