DPIRD Field Research Operations has vacancies for Technical Officers and Assistants at the following DPIRD regional sites : Geraldton, Wongan Hills, Merredin and Esperance.
As a Field Research Operations Technician your daily routine will be a blend of office / shed tasks and fieldwork. In these hands-on roles, each day will bring a new challenge as you contribute to supporting our vital field research trials.
You’ll collaborate with researchers, growers and external stakeholders to implement the end-to-end activities of the Field Research trials we undertake.
This includes site selection, sowing, spraying, crop monitoring and harvesting. Some travel will be required throughout WA ag region.
For all roles we’re looking for individuals who have agricultural machinery experience, hands-on problem-solving skills and work well within a team.
For level 2 and level 3 technical officer positions, considerable relevant experience, or a trade / agriculture certificate is required.
