Job Summary, SFA Engineering
This role serves as a key finance business partner to the Engineering organization. This role is suitable for somebody who is looking to grow and develop their analytic skills.
In this role, you will focus on driving improvements in the processes, systems, and financial planning. You will serve as subject matter expert for Engineering Finance to the respective Engineering business partners to help drive financial transparency and facilitate accurate and timely reporting to identify opportunities and mitigate risks within the portfolio.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Become an integral part of the Engineering team
Own monthly close process, journal entries, and variance analysis
Assist with the planning process for Budget and quarterly forecasts
Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis of performance against plan to facilitate decision-making
Develop and implement efficient methods for data extraction and analysis
Collaborate with functional team members to identify opportunities and influence
Subject matter expert for the Engineering program planning tool
Identify and drive quality improvement in tools and processes
Maintain, develop, and adhere to accounting and financial controls to ensure compliance with Company policies and GAAP.
Skills & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
3+ years of experience in Finance / Accounting
Team player with strong analytical and communication skills
Proven experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
Experience with data preparation, visualization, and processing diverse sets of data
Experience with Alteryx highly desirable; Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint), OneStream, MAPICS a plus
