What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the activities of internal and external personnel involved to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
  • Develop strategic capital spending plans and major capital projects / equipment upgrades
  • Improvement projects from design through installation and start-up.
  • Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems
  • Responsible for the preparation and execution to the project budget, scheduling and approving expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action when necessary, problem solving, root cause analysis, and failure mode
  • Works well with team members or independently : gives an receives feedback in a constructive manner
  • Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
  • Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely

What You'll Need

  • Experience planning outage work schedules and supervising contractors to accomplish installation goals
  • Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing today's design and project management tools including AutoCAD and Microsoft project
  • Minimum 3 years of project / engineering management experience, preferred in heavy industry
  • Shows a safety-first mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others

Your Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management, or equivalent experience required.
