Description
The Tax Accountant III exercises control over the preparation and maintenance of tax records and information used in completing tax returns.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepares the most complex tax returns and related reports and analysis.
- May oversee tax audits, responds to tax auditors and keeps senior management informed of audit status.
- Researches tax laws and communicates conclusions to management.
- Implements procedures to comply with new tax laws.
- Assumes most complex tax research, tax planning and tax compliance responsibilities.
- Responsible for reviewing other colleagues' compliance work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree preferably in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
- Analytics experience in a banking environment with comprehensive exposure to the workings of a bank's balance sheet and income statement
- Strong detail orientation and communication skills
Exempt Status : (Yes not eligible for overtime pay) ( No eligible for overtime pay)
