Responsibilities
PURPOSE :
As a Machine Operator in the Sioux Falls production plant, you will be responsible setting up, running and adjusting manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products in a safe working environment.
You will report to the Section Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies
- Adjust a variety of equipment in a timely fashion to maximize yields
- Make minor repairs and aid in trouble shooting
- Perform required quality checks and understand quality standards
- Assist in packing as needed
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Three to six months experience working in a manufacturing related field
- Understanding of air rings and extruders
- Ability to train new employees
- Ability to operator a fork lift
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the company
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Ability to work independently
PAY : From $ 19.00 / hr + Shift differential

- Attendance is important! You must be reliable, punctual and consistent.
- You adjust a variety of equipment in a well-timed manner to maximize outputs.
- Make minor repairs and aid in troubleshooting.
- Perform required quality checks and understand the quality standards.
- Inspecting product for quality & ensure packing requirements are met.
- Knowledge in the use of these items will be needed : fork lift, measuring tools, an understanding of rings and extruders.
- Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies.
- Overtime is readily available in this position.
