Adjunct Instructor-Heating and Refrigeration Systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Associate's Degree in Heating and Refrigeration from an accredited college or university and four years of hands-on experience in an HVAC and / or maintenance-related (or) Bachelor's Degree in Vocational and Technical Education from an accredited college or university plus two years of hands-on experience in the HVAC (or) Bachelor's Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and five years of hands-on experience in the HVAC field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : The Heating and Refrigeration program is looking for a full-time instructor who specializes in the areas of residential and commercial HVAC systems, with knowledge of modern heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
The preferred candidate will also have experience in heat pumps and geothermal systems. Proof of EPA 608 certification will be required.
The Instructor reports to the Department Chairperson of Applied Technologies and performs the following duties :
DUTIES AND / OR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide instruction in Heating and Refrigeration Systems.
- Evaluate student performance.
- Participation on departmental, division-wide, and college-wide committees to build community and fulfill professional development aspirations is encouraged and supported.
- At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
The Salary for this position is $1,394.00 per contact hour.
