Overview
Basic Function The Spa Receptionist / Attendant is responsible for day to day operations of the Spa and Fitness Center, while maintaining a clean, professional, and calm atmosphere.
The Spa Receptionist / Attendant greets guests and introduces the facilities and membership components to individuals and groups.
Essential Function Greeting guests as they enter the Spa of the Pines. Providing guests with tours and information related to the Spa of the Pines and Fitness Center and their features.
Answering incoming telephone calls promptly and politely, guiding guests in choosing the best services for their individual needs, and booking services with detail and accuracy Maintaining a thorough understanding of spa and resort programs and services and acting as an ambassador for the resort with each guest Registering guests for day passes and membership progams with accuracy.
Following up with each guest on product recommendations made by service providers and assisting in educating the guest while closing the retail sale Following daily checklists and reporting any needs or concerns to leadership.
Reporting equipment failures or maintenance issues promptly. Maintaining a well-groomed, professional appearance, which includes wearing clean and well-kept clothing, and nametag.
Reporting any accidents or injuries to the Security Department. Keeping men’s / ladies spas and fitness center clean, orderly, and well stocked with necessary items.
Promoting positive guest relations by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service and effectively resolving complaints in a timely manner Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Pyramid Global Hospitality rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Marginal Function In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the hotel.
May be required to deliver items to guest rooms or complete inventories of supplies. Work cooperatively with other departments Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent Experience : One year of customer service experience, preferred Licenses or certificates : First Aid and CPR certification preferred Grooming : All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (Dress code and grooming will be provided by the department manager).
Other : Computer knowledge, Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must have basic to intermediate experience using computers, web-based systems, and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Basic mathematical (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) skills and ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key, required.
Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner. Ability to accurately enter information using a moderately complex computer system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as a first or secondary language, required. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc
