Under direct supervision, the Admissions Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for all admissions related policies and procedures, and a product knowledge expert for all programs.
Supports, coaches and influences other Admissions Advisors to help them achieve their goals. Assists prospective students navigate and manage throughout the complex admissions process.
Gathers information on students, pre- screens and pre-qualifies potential students. Performs all duties of a Sr. Admissions Advisor.
Performs routine clerical, office, and data entry tasks. Provides excellent customer service to prospective and enrolled students in accordance with the mission and purpose of the university.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Admissions Specialist : Works closely with other functional departments at the University to deliver work that impacts the admission functions and stays informed of all new and updated policies and procedures.
Analyzes, understands, and resolves a high volume of student inquiries and follow up activities. Records appointment activity with prospective students.
Leads initiatives to continuously follow up on prospective student inquiries and assigned inquiries promptly. Sends marketing materials to prospective students to further execute short-term operational plansServes as subject matter expert on all admissions policies and procedures and a product knowledge expert for all programs.
Clarifies complex facts, policies and practices of the instruction.
Preferred Education, Certifications and Licensures
Bachelor's degree is required.
Required Experience and Skills
3-5 years of related experience is required. Minimum of up to two years' experience in a counseling or marketing-related environment required.
