As our Cook, you will report to the Supervisor of Kitchen and Pantry. Your job duties will include :

• Prepares and serves food items in accordance with menu specifications and established food safety practices as directed by Kitchen Supervisor.
• Ensures that proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed at all times. Operate all food services in compliance with established health and safety standards and regulations of the state, OSHA, and FDA.
• Operates and cleans various kitchen equipment.
• In the absence of department supervision, maintains good order and discipline while on shift and reports any violations in accordance with Mission and department policy.
• Works in harmony with all staff, guests and volunteers modeling Christ-like character and conduct.
• Functions as the staff point person for the staff, guests and volunteers performing tasks in cooperation with shifts as shift supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Skills : Food services experience in a restaurant or institutional setting, willing to manage staff, guests and volunteers, excels in a fast-paced work environment, enjoys menu planning and working in a team environment.

High school diploma or GED preferred. Servsafe certification preferred. This position may work weekends and holidays as needed.
