Looking for a Low Voltage Superintendent to work on multiple projects for Client.

The Site Superintendent will oversee a team of field operations personnel executing specific data center projects, including site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination.

This position combines a senior professional-level trade skill set with basic project management methods to complete any task related to the installation and maintenance of a data center fiber infrastructure installations / projects.

The Site Superintendent is primarily responsible for achieving over-all job site productivity and ensuring high-quality work.

JOB DUTIES :

In conjunction with the Project Manager assist Field Supervisors and Lead Technicians with planning material acquisition and scheduling on projects assigned.

  • Maintain A-level ratings from client review
  • Provide ongoing leadership, supervision, and guidance to all levels of field staff
  • Support Field Supervisor and Lead Technician meetings / trainings on a regular schedule to cover industry codes and standards and installation practices
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Sales Team to ensure codes, standards and customer expectations are met and exceeded on all projects
  • Supervise and manage of structured cabling activities
  • Performs the duties above efficiently and in a workmanlike manner
  • Work with P6 Master Scheduler to ensure and maintain accurate budgeted resources and schedules in accordance to bid and actual performance
  • Conduct frequent gemba site walks to verify construction activities meet Client's Quality Management Plan and the client’s specifications
  • Proactively strategize, allocate and lead job site resource organization
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor by leading by example in exemplifying safety, quality and CORE values on the job site
  • Develops and enhances data center technical training, SOPs and work instructions to ensure compliance with Client's Quality Plan, industry standards and client specifications
  • Collaborate with the project team to create and define methods to improve project efficiencies in order to maintain and increase project profitability
  • Create the framework used to develop project metrics and manage the collection of data
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the site to align with deployed corporate strategic goals
  • Travel : The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by Client
  • This individual may be on their own in solving problems and determining satisfactory solutions, and providing support direct reports
  • Knowledge of structured cabling industry including technology, quality, and safety standards
  • Ability to support the Regional Supervisor in leading, developing, and managing field employees
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Good work habits under pressure, flexible during times of change
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
  • Demonstrated team work and versatility in integrating into multiple work environments
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily
  • There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required

Typical Hours : M-F 6AM-5PM

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of general building codes and BICSI Standards

Read, write, and understand English

Able to distinguish color codes

  • High School Diploma required, GED or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred.
  • BICSI Certified Technician preferred.
  • OSHA 10 required.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
