Process Technician 4
LA Semiconductor is looking for a Process Technician for the WIE (Wafer Inspection Engineering) team. The WIE (Wafer Inspection Engineering) group monitors the Fab production line for particles and other defects.
As a WIE Technician at LA Semiconductors' Pocatello 200mm manufacturing facility, you will work in a dynamic team environment and oversee defect and tool performance.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provides leadership to process and manufacturing teams on defect sourcing and toll improvement.
- Monitor multiple inspection tool; gauge tool performance and evaluate statistical data for process conformance.
- Write and update inspection recipes for defect metrology toolsets (KLA-213X, AIT XP+, Surfscan 6xxx, SPI, and KLA-8920).
- Utilize PROMIS, SPACE, Yield WatchDog and other electronic media in problem-solving and general documentation of work performed.
- Identify and participate in WIE-involved continuous improvement activities.
- Identifying and solving problems on a team level and independently.
- Participate in the development of WIE goals / objectives, policies / procedures ; make recommendations for changes / improvements.
- Provide leadership to other technicians and manufacturing technologists by providing training and mentoring when the opportunity presents itself.

- Individuals must be self-motivated and able to interface effectively with other groups and maintain organization with ability to prioritize one's tasks.
- Ability to follow sequential process from start to finish with consistency and accuracy.
- Familiarity with a variety of front-end fab process flows and the ability to connect captured defects to specific process stages.
- Experience with defect metrology equipment in a production environment up to and included equipment interventions and / or recipe creation.
Education Requirements :
- Associates degree or Certificate of completion in Electronics, electro-mechanical, semiconductor technology, or another technical program.
- At minimum six years of experience on a yield enhancement or defect metrology team in a semiconductor fab or equivalent work environment.
