General Description : This position is responsible for supporting the Facilities Supervisor by providing various services including general maintenance and repairs, local driving and mail room assistance for the organization.

Core Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintains the appearance of the building, ensuring it is in good condition, to include light cleaning, removing trash, painting and other general maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Complete daily task checklists
  • Use Help Desk Ticket System to report faults and or repairs in the building.
  • Local driving between facilities, post office and other errands as directed.
  • Picks up and delivers mail from post office, distributes interdepartmental mail and routes items received to employees.
  • Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Ability to drive an automobile is an essential function of this position
  • Required to complete annual OSHA certification
  • Travels as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements :

  • Capable of providing maintenance and janitorial services to a 97,000 sq ft building
  • Knowledge of mail room functions to including receiving, sorting and delivering
  • Handyman or general maintenance skills including experience with hand tools
  • Capacity to use discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a high level of proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and / or walk the entire business day
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus
