Project Manager IT

Description

Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations and business objectives.

This person would be Managing the implementation of multiple part system projects.

• Manage teams through all phases of cycle development, including analysis, project design and development, testing periods, installation and final delivery.
• Responsible for assembling project plans, team work assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews;

and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.

• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
• Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources.
• Ability to lead meetings, gain consensus, and take and distribute meeting minutes.
• Strong vendor management skills. Some projects will have work outsourced to onshore and offshore resources.
• Identify complex risks, lead reviews, create risk mitigation and implement action plans.
• Manages one or more cross functional projects of high complexity.
• Strong facilitator - Ability to reach across to other teams to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time.
• Responsible for the management of one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex projects
• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
• Manage project scope and changes
• Manage and control project cost and schedule.
• Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
• Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate ideas.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

Academic / Experience / Competency

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.

• Project Management PMP certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
• Self-starter - Ability to leverage previous experience and available information to create and update project plans. Requires little oversight.
• Strong presentation skills with experience with providing project updates with all levels of the organization.
• Advanced ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the organization as a whole
• Advanced ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage and quality
• Advanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified
• Advanced understanding of multiple project management disciplines; waterfall, agile / scrum.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, drive results, solve problems, and possess interpersonal skills from prior work situations
• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective.
• Experience in Logistics / Supply chain desired.
• Experience in automotive is a plus.
• Experience working with Clarity is a plus.

• Strong communicator This project touches multiple business units and requires development from multiple IT teams, so the PM needs to be able to keep everyone on the same page
• Strong Powerpoint presentation skills Comfortable with presenting project status and project checkpoints with all levels of the organization, including C-Level executives.
• Strong meeting facilitator and able to capture meeting minutes
• Experience leading projects that have multiple stakeholders This project requires work to be completed by multiple groups besides parts.
