About the Position

The Registered Pharmacy Technician III at Harris Health will prepare and distribute prescribed medications and other health care products under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

This includes reconstituting medications, compounding sterile preparations, managing inventory, delivering medication to patient care units, replenishing medications in the automated dispensing cabinets, and participating in the scheduled Terminal Cleanings.

This role will also be called upon to answer phones, file invoices, stock shelves, and complete data entry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered by Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • IV Certification or MTM Certification
  • 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • 1 year of experience at a hospital / infusion pharmacy
