Responsibilities
- Install and maintain MS SQL Servers
- Configure and maintain Windows Cluster / SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Plan, manage and optimized SQL server HA / DR policies and procedures
- Create / migrate and deploy databases
- Create and maintain database backup, maintenance and restore plans
- Create automation for repeating database tasks
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance related issues
- Test disaster recovery scenarios
- Create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and report queries related to database administration
- Assume other database duties as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in MS SQL database administration
- Work closely with a Senior Database Administer
- Familiarity with Windows Clusters and Microsoft AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Knowledge of T-SQL execution plans to problem solve along with proper indexing application
- PowerShell scripting is a plus
