The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (League) was founded in 1972 as one of the first Primary Care Associations (PCAs) in the U.
S., established under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act. The League is a non-profit organization supporting community health centers (CHCs) across Massachusetts.
Based in Boston, with a training center in Worcester, it provides technical assistance, professional development, and advocacy for CHCs, ensuring quality healthcare for underserved communities.
Position Summary :
The Senior Manager of Behavioral Health Integration leads the Behavioral Health training and technical assistance programs at the League, promoting integrated behavioral healthcare practices in federally-qualified and hospital-licensed health centers across the state.
This role involves developing training initiatives, engaging in needs assessment with health centers, and providing support for behavioral health directors through in-person site visits, forums, and ongoing program evaluation.
Essential Functions :
- Provide leadership for Behavioral Health training and technical assistance for CHCs
- Conduct needs assessments and engage in community outreach
- Facilitate monthly BH Directors Forum Zoom calls for peer-to-peer dialogue
- Develop and manage program initiatives, including the promotion of integrated BH care models and CHC employee well-being programs
- Collaborate with internal teams on regulations, reimbursement, billing, and workforce development
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and evaluation of BH programs
- Engage in strategic partnerships with local and national stakeholders
- Manage grants and contracts related to behavioral health services
Competencies / Skills :
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and quality improvement skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and online communication platforms
- Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Understanding of structural and institutional oppression and its impact on healthcare access
Education / Experience :
- Master's degree in clinical social work or related field preferred, or Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience in behavioral health program integration
- Experience in community health, public health, or human services, with knowledge of clinical quality improvement and grant management
