GENERAL SUMMARY
It is the responsibility of the Ground Transportation Coordinator to coordinate the airport landside ground transportation operations.
Uses independent judgment in resolving conflicts with ground transportation operators and provides information to the traveling public.
Monitor compliance of rules relating to ground transportation operators and assists Police with traffic management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates and monitors the operation of the Ground Transportation Center and landside ground transportation activities.
- Monitors operations of all ground transportation operators for compliance with airport rules and regulations.
- Maintains documentation of activities.
- Coordinates and sets priorities concerning commercial vehicle utilization of assigned zones.
- Provides mobile information and assistance service at point of demand to passengers and the public concerning hotel accommodations, convention activities, parking, flight information and ground transportation service availability.
- Directs traffic for Transportation Network Companies (Uber, Lyft).
- Operates the public paging system in the Ground Transportation Center.
- Projects a friendly image of the airport.
- Assists public and convention groups.
- Dispatch and monitor taxicab system.
- Assists the public with customer services initiatives such as lost vehicles, jump starts, and tire inflations.
- Assists the Parking Operation with PARCS equipment issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND CONDITIONS
- Valid driver’s license and demonstrated good driving record.
- Ability to perform all the essential functions of the job outlined above without creating a direct threat to the safety of oneself or others.
