What is the opportunity? The purpose of the position is to provide sales support to the IFG Sales business. This role will handle secondary market trading, liaison between sales, middle and back offices and provide general sales support to the sales team. What will you do?
- Support the daily sales activities and clients of the US Equity Derivatives Sales team
- May include supporting Global Equities team in multiple verticals including Notes, listed options, OTC options, derivatives strategy and light vanilla derivatives
- Complete necessary US regulatory exams including series 7 & 63
- Internal pricing of equity derivatives transactions using in-house pricing and desk tools, including liaising with the GE sales teams, GE structuring and GE trading teams
- Communicate clearly and accurately on all enquiries
- Primary asset classes of focus are Equity with some FX / Rates / Commodities and structured products
- Coordinate with other members of the GE US sales and trading team by sharing ideas, successful trades and leverage client relationships across all GELP regions and across the Capital Markets floor;
- Handle client on-boarding requirements (KYC, KYD, AML, ISDA negotiating etc).
- Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
- Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.
- Key relationships : Liaison with internal teams including : GE structuring, GE trading (cash and derivatives), back office and KYC teams.
- No authority to trade, advice or perform any regulated activity, until approved by the Business and Compliance following the successful completion of the relevant learning, development and market training requirements.

- Strong Academic background Bachelor’s degree (minimum), in a mathematical / economics or engineering discipline

- The good-faith expected salary for the above position is $225,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status;
- market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions;
