Job Description - Life Agent

The Wade C. Thomas Agency, an authorized agency of Farmers Insurance, is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Life Agent.

As a Life Agent, you will be responsible for promoting and selling life insurance products to our clients in Harrisburg, SD, and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain a client base by identifying prospective customers and networking to expand your reach.
• Educate clients about the importance of life insurance, assessing their needs, and recommending suitable policies to meet their unique requirements.
• Present and explain various insurance policy options to help customers understand the coverage they will receive.
• Assist clients in the application process, including gathering necessary information, completing required forms, and submitting applications to underwriters for review.
• Follow up with clients to provide policy updates, address inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a strong understanding of our life insurance products, including coverage details, policy benefits, and pricing options.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to adjust sales strategies and remain competitive in the market.
• Collaborate with our agency team to meet business targets and enhance overall performance.
• Adhere to all legal requirements and ethical standards when conducting sales activities.

Requirements :

• Possess a valid Life Insurance Producer license for the state of South Dakota.
• Prior experience in life insurance sales or related field is preferred.
• Solid understanding of various life insurance products, such as term life, whole life, universal life, and annuities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and understand their needs.
• Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and contribute to the success of the agency.
• Proficient computer skills, including the use of CRM software, to manage customer information and track sales activities.
