We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician to join our team!
Hourly pay range : $22-44 / hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.
Work shift : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
As a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for performing the inspection and testing, of fire sprinkler systems, hood suppression systems, and backflows for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers’ requirements, federal, state, and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company.
In this role you will :
- Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire sprinkler systems as well as hood suppression systems
- Perform inspection and testing of backflow prevention devices as required by USC 10 and state and local codes, separate certification requirements may be necessary based upon the jurisdiction
- Assist / coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing
- Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements
- Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns
- Discuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolution
Requirements :
- At least 1 years’ experience in fire sprinkler systems
- High School diploma or equivalent
- NICET II (Water based systems)
- Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester Certification (Oregon State Certification), preferred
- Certificate of Fitness (COF), (Portland Certification) for Fire Sprinkler / Underground / Fire Extinguisher / Fire Suppression
- Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Working Conditions :
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and / or wiring
- Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
