Job Description

The Department of Neurosurgery is excited to announce the opening for a Director of Education. This position will be responsible for research operations and surgical education by managing the operational components of the surgical skills labs.

The primary duties of this position include :

  • Managing the operational components of surgical skills labs
  • Responsible for strategic planning for the Neurosurgical Residency Program including curriculum development for surgical skills lab to enhance ACGME curriculum.
  • Grant submission to secure funding to support infrastructure for surgical skills labs and the educational program, including oversight of budget for surgical skills labs
  • Oversee operational components of research projects for faculty, fellows, residents
  • Responsible for partnership development between the Educational Program, surgical industry vendors, and University Healthcare system for capital equipment donations to the skills lab
  • Supervision of Residency Coordinator
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's Degree.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range : $58,573-$108,035

Grade : GGS-011
