The Role :
The Vice President of Human Resources (HR) provides leadership and guidance to the organization's HR operations. This hands-on, strategic role is responsible for working closely with the CHRO to set, enforce, and evaluate legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices and identify and implement long-range strategic HR goals to align with the company's objectives.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of HR practices and the ability to adapt and drive change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
- Serves as a trusted advisor to the CHRO and key business leaders on all areas of HR, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, organizational structure and employee development, policies, procedures, employee morale, and culture.
- Collaborates with CHRO and executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through developing and implementing policies or programs.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team and assists with resolving employee relations, organizational structure, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Assists in developing structure and processes for the human resource functions.
- Oversees the company's benefit and payroll department. Involved In researching, developing, and administering competitive and accurate benefits, compensation, and payroll programs.
- Oversees the company's bonus program to ensure proper communication, administration, and program measurement.
- Works with leadership on critical and sensitive employee or organizational matters, including employee relations, coaching, and HR guidance.
- Leads specific integration projects from merging companies onto the more extensive portfolio.
- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Provides critical input to the organization's staffing and human resource department budgets.
- Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Compensation / Benefits / Payroll
- Manages and provides day-to-day direction to the Payroll / Benefits team.
- Utilizes Paylocity to streamline processes and efficiencies wherever opportunities exist.
- Works closely with the CHRO to manage the 401k plan.
- Manages and administers the bonus plans.
- Communicate and provide recommended changes to employee benefits and the 401k plan.
- Provides support and day-to-day direction for all Payroll activities throughout the organization.
- Assists with implementing and administering a streamlined approach to performance management, job descriptions, and salary ranges across the platform.
- Responsible for guiding, leading, and developing the human resources team.
- Recommends ways to enhance employment, including talent management, morale, retention, engagement, new hire onboarding, benefits communication, and termination procedures.
Employment
- Focus on minimizing company liability exposure on employment issues.
- Ensures timely response to employee issues to minimize EEOC and legal issues and provides an overview of all employee relations complaints.
- Assists with establishing the HR department budget and providing guidance to functional areas regarding talent and payroll (including overtime and FLSA) management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a master's or law degree is a plus.
- 10 or more years of human resource management experience is required, with strategic, talent management, and business development experience highly preferred.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP is strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of benefit and compensation plan design and administration
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to support executive leadership in crafting communication.
- Ability to think strategically while still willing to roll up their sleeves to perform work and develop actionable plans.

Salary Description
Minimum Salary : $220,000.00 + Bonus
