Description

Description The Specialist for Distribution and Logistics is responsible for supporting daily Supply Chain operations to ensure Supply Chain standard operating procedures for all distribution and logistics areas.

Oversee maintenance of nodes and system accuracy of replenishment and point-of-use systems. Implements and installs new nodes in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Applies an in-depth understanding of Supply Chain concepts, operations, and analytics to maximize node areas, replenishment processes, and solve complex problems.

Partners with the clinical teams to audit and optimize PAR items to improve supply chain operations and reduce supply expenses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Required) Or

Relevant experience in project management or supply chain beyond the minimum required work experience may substitute the educational requirement on a 1-to-1 ratio (Required)

Minimum Work Experience

3 years related and progressive experience in distribution, procurement or supply chain operations activity (Required)

3 years related and progressive experience in supply chain distribution in a health care environment (Preferred)

Required Skills / Knowledge

Demonstrates ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills for improving efficiencies and operational activities.

Proficiency in using ERP Applications, the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel, business-sensitive information, and CNHS intellectual property.

Functional Accountabilities

Program Maintenance

Oversees all maintenance activities to maximize the effectiveness of the point-of-use replenishment system (Bear Bin) across the CNH enterprise, including satellite locations.

Proactively adjust Bear Bin nodes, stages, and systems to ensure seamless operations and accuracy.

Oversees and implements all questions, comments, and notifications (QCNs) in accordance with Supply Chain operating procedures.

Track the status of all QCNs and partner with Supply Chain staff to ensure QCNs are executed in a timely fashion.

  • Responsible for delivering QCN metrics to leadership, developing strategies for improved processes and accountability around node changes.
  • Proactively ensures system accuracy and regularly evaluates Bear Bin nodes for optimization of PAR quantity, procurement routes, elimination and or addition of items, and edits to items.

Utilize analytics to optimize PAR levels (reduce, consolidate, eliminate, increase).

  • Leads and manages supply conversion processes to ensure the effective and safe introduction of new products and product conversions and a seamless transition throughout the Bear Bin system.
  • Demonstrates understanding of supplier market and aligns replenishment and purchasing patterns with clinical demand.
  • Aligns PAR data with vendor procurement routes and units of measure. Determines the best unit of measure to maximize PAR's efficiency.
  • Regularly performs Gemba Audits of all nodes in accordance with Supply Chain Operating procedures.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Independently leads education on Bear Bin's standard operating procedures to all clinical and supply chain staff. Identify new clinical areas that would benefit from the Bear Bin program.
  • Independently responsible for project management of the Bear Bin program, including mock events, engagement with clinical unit leaders and champions, building new nodes and racks, full PAR list development, refreshes, and full installation in accordance with Bear Bin implementation and project procedures.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, clean working environment in all Supply Chain distribution areas. Safely maintain the equipment needed to operate the Bear Bin program.

Analytics

  • Designs, generates and validates results of analyses of complex data sets and dashboards and facilitates reporting to improve operational outcomes and distribution optimization.
  • Utilizes dashboards and data to forecast, analyze, and predict supply disruptions, supply improvements and operational improvements.
  • Utilizes and analyzes data to partner and communicate with clinical teams to optimize supply operations and expenses. Perform audits of all nodes and meet with clinical leaders to share optimization opportunities.
  • Implements and sustains innovative operational improvements within Supply Chain areas.
  • Manages data accuracy within Supply Chain systems, databases and dashboards.

Leadership

  • Leads and assisst staff to meet productivity work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work within the allotted timeframe.
  • Ensure staff meet quality assurance standards in accordance with Supply Chain operating procedures.
  • Lead, facilitate, and / or participate actively on assigned project teams.
  • Participates in Value Analysis meetings and initiatives to ensure seamless introductions of new products, conversions and eliminations.
  • Leads regular supply chain meetings to facilitate product conversions, label management, and demand planning.
  • Acts as a project manager when rolling out new nodes, coordinating all required aspects, supplies, and personnel.
  • Works independently to support Supply Chain operations and project work at all CNH locations with minimal oversight.

Communication & Customer Service

  • Maintains clear communication between staff, clinical end users, and the Supply Chain Distribution team.
  • Partners with clinical teams to troubleshoot and communicate areas of improvement to optimize supply chain operations and supply expenses.
  • Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Manager or Department Head.
