Marine Project Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Marine Project Engineer to join our team. The Marine Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing various marine engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and deadlines.

This role requires a strong background in marine engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Marine Project Engineer Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee marine engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements, budget, and schedule constraints.
  • Conduct detailed design and analysis of marine structures and systems, including hull design, stability analysis, and structural integrity assessments.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, USCG).
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution and address any technical challenges that arise.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine engineering and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Project Engineer (Marine) Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture & Maritime Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of experience in Naval Architecture and Design.
  • 5 years of experience in marine project engineering, with a strong background in vessel design and construction.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, ANSYS, Rhino) and a solid understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
