Work statement is anonmanagerial role nonleadership role.
Companyis seeking an Experienced Aircraft Painter in Paint on the 787Program in North Charleston South Carolina.
Position Responsibilities :
Performs painting of aircraft sections per customersdesign and unique livery requirements.
Verifiesaircraft is ready for exterior finish.
Makesnecessary patterns performs layout and applies prescribed primerspaints and finishes to exterior of aircraft.
Prepares exterior surface of aircraft forpainting.
This position is expected to be 100%onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite atone of the listed location options.
Thisposition requires an individual to work at heights utilizing fallprotection equipment. Candidate must be able to obtain FallProtection Certification.
This is also contingency of assignmentFall Protection Regulations OSHA 1926 Subpart D.
Candidates must be able to support all shifts per businessneeds. Shifts will be assigned during assignment to meet businessneeds.
Candidates will be required to attend andpass training classes. Failure of training may be cause forassignment termination
PaintExperience
Adhesive Materials / ProcessesKnowledge of adhesive materials (such as epoxy urethane polyimidereinforcements etc) and processes.
Color MatchKnowledge of color space color analysis paint formulation and paintapplication techniques to evaluate match and develop decorativefinishes.
Engineering Drawings & SpecsAbility to read understand and interpret engineering drawings andspecifications (e.g. blueprint / schematic reading specificationchange design).
General Shop Processes Completeknowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage / Debris(FOD) prevention material handling safety calibration requirementsand Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
Materials& Processing Knowledge of material processing for metals (e.g.welding forging heat treat machining forming) polymers andcomposites (e.
g. autoclave curing layup cocuring repair) sealantsand finishes processing (e.g. plating painting surface preparationfay surface sealing fillet sealing) and ceramic (e.
g. hightemperature processing machining) and electronic materials (e.g.soldering printed circuit board cleaning conformalcoating).
Organic Chemical Processing Knowledgeof organic chemical processes (such as topcoating priming surfacecleaning).
Polymers & Composite MaterialsKnowledge of polymers and composite materials (such as carbonfiberglass aramid adhesives thermoset / thermoplastic resins).
Must bewilling to work any shift assigned including overtime.
Minimum of 3 years of painting experience in aircraftautomotive or general painting.
Required to wearfall protection gear safety equipment and masks (OSHA STDstate).
Preferred Qualifications(Desired Skills / Experience) :
Ability to perform the followingrequirements :
Lift less than 25pounds (Occasional lifting of 2135 pounds) bend and twist at thewaist walk crawl crouch stand for long periods kneel reachclimb / balance flexion / extension
Contact withsealants and solvents exposure to noise working on elevatedplatforms
Use personal protective gear for faceeyes ears hand and arms as required.
Read writeand comprehend the English language
Handle useand dispose of hazardous material
Obtain &maintain training certifications as required to support assignmentresponsibilities
Occasional (1 to 3 hrs) fingermanipulation
Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6hrs)
Frequent walking on flatsurfaces

Basic qualifications (RequiredSkills / Experience) :
o Must be willing to workany shift assigned including overtime.
oRequired to wear fall protection gear safety equipment andmasks.
o Suitable candidates for these aircraftpainter positions will have THREE years of direct Aerospace paintexperience as a minimum requirement.
CANDIDATES WITHOUT AEROSPACEPAINTING EXPERIENCE will NOT be considered.
oMinimum of 3 years of painting experience in aircraft automotive orgeneral painting.
o Experience working fromheights and using fall protection equipment.
oAbility to complete Fall protection training.
Preferred qualifications (DesiredSkills / Experience) :
o Electrostatic handgunexperience
o Experience operating liftequipment
o Preferably have greater than FIVEyears of Aerospace painting experience.

Training duration 4 4.5weeks

1. To Start Assignment : Must have anegative drug screen and all onboarding paperwork completed byTuesday prior to start date
2. Training Period : All remaining screening must be completed and cleared before theend of the training period or the contractor cannot move to thefloor.
Supplier must notify CLA when screening iscomplete.
3. Suspension : Contractors who havenot completed screening by the end of the training period will besuspended from work until screening is complete;
upon clearancethey may return to their regular shift
4.Disqualification : Contractors who do not meet contingencyrequirements or who do not complete screening in a timely mannerwill be removed from assignment.
Successfulcompletion and clearance of all screening requirements is acontingency for this assignment.
