Position Overview
Teaching Strategies is the leader in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) sector, providing the most widely used developmental assessment and curriculum system in the US, serving children from birth through 3rd grade.
We are looking for a QA Manager to help expand digital curriculum, assessment, and family communications solutions to accelerate learning outcomes for all kinds of children, teachers, and programs.
You will be a champion for quality and always put the needs of the customer first. You will radiate information about the quality state of the product and continuously find ways to make it better.
You will manage onshore and offshore QA Engineers across several scrum teams. We need someone who will help drive a culture of quality across the organization.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities :
- Supervises, coaches and mentors a team of QA Engineers
- Tracks and reports status, progress, issues, and opportunities
- Creates and champions QA processes and standards
- Coordinates closely with Dev and Product Managers, QA Engineers, the Director of QA, and the VP of Engineering
- Helps to validate new features and fixes
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience
- Minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on web and / or mobile testing experience
- Minimum of four(4) years developing test automation
- Minimum of four (4) years of managing a QA team
- Experience with performance, security and accessibility testing
- Empathy, patience, rigor, grit and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Highly collaborative work style and a bias for action
- Creativity and initiative to succeed on ambiguous problems
- Experience with the following technologies a plus :
- Playwright
- JavaScript
- Postman
- Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Xray
- Jenkins
- Keen interest in modern technologies and languages and how to innovate with them
- Commitment to following security best practices
