Job Summary :

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Finance Manager will report to the Business Unit Manager and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company.

The Finance Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, forecasting, and insurance activities for the company.
  • Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensures compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Appraises the organization’s financial position and issues periodic reports on the organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
  • Provides executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with stockholders, financial institutions, and the investment community.
  • Managing the sales order book / pipeline.
  • Direct responsibility for Accounting departments.

Qualifications :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Education and / or Experience :

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA, CMA, or CPA is highly preferred.
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing.

Skills :

  • Computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and make appropriate decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills.

Competency :

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization both locally and remote locations.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Knowledge of international exchange rates.
