Join GDIT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The Afloat Submarine C4I IPT Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Multi-purpose Reconfigurable Training System (MRTS) team is seeking an Engineer, Cybersecurity II in Charleston, SC.
Afloat Submarine C4I IPT Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Multi-purpose Reconfigurable Training System (MRTS) is the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Program Executive Office (PEO) C4I model to provide seamless, end-to-end communications training supporting the Sailor 2025, Ready Relevant Learning initiative.
Providing system of systems training of this caliber to others in the DoD C4I community is a command goal both now and for the future.
Duties include :
Perform tasks to ensure Navy applications, systems, and networks satisfy Federal / DoD / DON / Navy cybersecurity
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree - Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science
- Certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M
- Three (3) years of experience :
- Preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Planning, implementing, upgrading, and / or monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network
- Assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
- ensuring appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
- Responding to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports
- Secret Clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $133,973. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
