Description
- Assists the director in IT strategic and tactical planning including setting priorities, coordinating and reporting program status and issue resolution.
- Coordinates training across the supported product lines, including the development of staff training and development programs.
- Works cooperatively with all user groups and affected IT units to coordinate plans and activities including development projects that involve systems, the coordination of software upgrades and the installation of new products.
- Provides weekly and monthly reports on activity status as well as forecasts of resource utilization.
- Recognizes and identifies areas where existing policies, procedures and activities require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future applications or technical initiatives.
Proactively defines and recommends required policies and procedures.
- Facilitates the development and maintenance of application or technology-based systems, which are designed to support hospital real time operations and / or provide information in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assigns, coordinates and reviews the work of staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Math, Science, Healthcare or other related field, Masters preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience, with an emphasis on clinical or Healthcare application development, process analysis, reporting, technology planning and implementation.
Experience working in health care.
- 2 + years staff management experience.
- Requires Strong Project management experience.
- Experience implementing enterprise wide clinical or Healthcare solutions for a health system or payer to improve patient care and operational efficiencies.
