Maintenance Electrician

SUMMARY

Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all automated equipment in the plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Read electrical / hydraulic blue prints.

Perform duties of Mechanical A

Have the knowledge of Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE Fanuc PLCs & MMI systems.

Perform and execute mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs on all equipment.

Knowledgeable with NFPA 79 standards.

Understand RCSA guidelines and regulations.

Rewiring and rebuilding machines as needed.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits on Production & Facility equipment.

Hydraulic / Pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

Capable of designing and building small electrical ladder logics & controls for in house purposes.

Perform inspections as part of our Site Preventative Maintenance Programs.

Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

5 or more years of industrial Electrician experience in a manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of control circuits, PLC, process controls, plant electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Ability to troubleshoot and perform PM.

Die casting or plastics industry experience preferred, but not necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Must be able to read Schematic drawings and work from verbal direction.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to calculate weight measurement, volume, and distance as needed.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
