Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Vice President of Marketing, the business role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of company brand, advertising, and communication with public, sales generation for M Crowd and all of its brands.

ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES

Social Media

  • Ensure all social media sites consistently updated with brand messages, news, awards, promotions and events.
  • Assist in driving population of fan page.
  • Post pictures of events on a consistent basis.
  • Notify fans of update and new items of relevance.
  • Make sure all Websites are updated and maintained.

Advertising

  • Media Ad Placement-Online and Print
  • Develop ads coordinating with creative and graphic artist teams and agencies.

Public & Guests Relations -

  • Responsible for making sure all charity request for donations and events are completed.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to connect with the businesses, organizations and community.
  • Spend time in the restaurants engaging with guests and staff to understand guest expectation and grow the concepts brand identity.

Media Relations

  • Company spokesperson for all media inquiries. Member of the crisis management team.
  • Coordinate interviews with company representative preparing talking points and accompanying them to all interviews and press events.
  • Develop relationships with target media list of local, regional and national print, radio, online and television professionals that cover restaurants, spirits, food, design, lifestyle, chat columns and business features.
  • Write and distribute all press releases and press kit for all brands.
  • Consistently increase and maintain positive reviews and editorial placements in targeted publications, radio, television and online media.

Proactively pitch creative and unique story ideas that fit the brand.

  • Coordinate and attend photo shoots for publications.
  • Provide media clips as they occur and clipping report on monthly basis or as needed.

Promotional Events

  • Pre-event publicity
  • New Store Grand Openings planning and implementation. Coordinating with local PR Firm on all preopening events including practice dinners;

Grand Opening charity Party.

Schedule in-house and out-of-house events to specific target audiences and demographics.

Other

  • Assist with menu verbiage, design, and updates.
  • Assist other departments as needed.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong experience with developing marketing and communications strategies.
  • Strong experience with field marketing local retail or restaurant marketing initiatives.
  • Experience introducing a brand to new markets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience with planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, and other publications.
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communication, media relations, public relations, and marketing program to advance an organization's mission and goals.
  • Experience managing digital marketing campaigns including email, social, and search engine marketing (SEM)
  • Experience promoting a lifestyle brand.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with change management, implementation planning and release management.
  • Ability to successfully work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Conforms to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, oral communication, service skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to identify and define problems, probe and gather relevant data, and create effective solutions.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects, under time constraints, in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision

ACADEMIC

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of working experience.

Restaurant industry a plus. Strong knowledge of Word, PPT, Exce

SAFETY

  • Assist in keeping the Restaurant Support Center a safe and a healthy work environment.
  • Where safety rules or best practices require that protective clothing / glove / shoes / equipment to be worn, or apparatus utilized, employees must wear clothing / gloves / shoes / equipment and use the apparatus.
  • Report any safety concerns to the appropriate person immediately.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must have driver license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing and / or communications role either in-house or with an agency
  • Strong experience with developing marketing and communications strategies.
  • Strong experience with field marketing local retail or restaurant marketing initiatives.
  • Experience introducing a brand to new markets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience with planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, and other publications.
