Duties and Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Clinic Coordinator, provides oversight and guidance for all Front Desk Receptionists within that location.
- Coordinate and ensure that the Front Desk team has the resources, tools and training needed to successfully perform their daily duties.
- Lead by example exhibiting MOS policy and procedure standards. Maintaining professional conduct and reinforcing performance and behavioral expectations for medical assistant team.
- Demonstrate exemplary level of cleanliness and professionalism to front office area and team according to MOS standards.
- Maintains the highest level possible of customer service standard while performing patient check-ins, status updates, etc.
- Operate as person of contact for addressing patient conflicts and concerns and escalates to management as needed.
- Provide support for Front Desk team when staffing needs require performing duties of Front Desk members including general administrative tasks.
- Oversee Front Desk collections of co-pays, fees, and outstanding balances according to organization’s policy.
- Monitor clinic workflows and inform patients of potential delays.
- Adhere to organizational policy and procedures with particular attention to standards of conduct and confidentiality as it aligns with HIPAA.
- Ensure materials and inventory related to office supplies are stocked. Submits weekly supply orders as needed.
- Monitors department staff buckets and scanning to ensure all documents are sorted in a timely manner.
- Function as Front Desk team liaison to maintain effective working relationships among patients, providers, and other department staff members.
Assist in problems that arise among team members including escalation of provider concerns.
- Assist Clinic Coordinator with supervisory responsibilities regarding Front Desk team including offering feedback on performance concerns and improvements.
- Completes and maintains weekly schedules assignments and task assignments for Front Desk team ensuring adequate coverage is available.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2 years of customer service experience required.
- 1 year experience in a medical setting preferred.
