EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Sales Network Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.
Job Responsibilities :
- Design and Implement networking solutions for Enterprise customers.
- Use technologies like VPN to build connectivity for customer applications to their datacenter.
- Work with multiple customers to design, implement and troubleshoot networks by utilizing switching, routing, network security, virtualization and cloud computing concepts coupled with scripting to implement solutions in an automated fashion.
- Work on multi-vendor devices to implement managed and secure SD-WAN networks.
Basic Requirements :
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in enterprise networks / technical solutions OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in enterprise networks / technical solutions.
- Experience must include 6 months in each of the following : VPN; switching and routing; network security; networking technologies;
virtualization; cloud computing; and Python for network automation.
Travel within U.S. required 10% of the time.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
