JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse functions as a vital member of the healthcare team who contributes to the success of Marshfield Clinic Health System by demonstrating customer / patient focus, effective communication, professionalism and self-development, and teamwork.

S / he utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.

This individual demonstrates excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and makes decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System policies, department protocols / guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.-

Minimum Required : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred / Optional : None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required : None

Preferred / Optional : Two years nursing experience.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.-

Minimum Required :

Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).

Affiliated staff privileges at associated hospital may be required (varies by department / location).

Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
