Overview
Diesel Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s Diesel Fleet trucks.
Signing bonuses paid at 90, 180 and 270 days!
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Mechanics inspect equipment for damage or failures.
- Perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures.
- Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks.
- Mechanics may also be required to perform basic welds, clean the shop area, and perform stocking functions.
- Will be cross trained to work on cranes and heavy equipment
All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year's related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid Driver’s License
- Mechanical experience working with diesel engines, technical school a plus
- Must comply with established safety rules, policies and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Company will train.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively be fore groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
