Consilio's direct hire recruiting team is working with a highly regarded, Michigan-based law firm that is seeking to hire a Litigation Attorney . This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.

TITLE

Litigation Attorney

LOCATION

Niles or St. Joseph, MI (on-site)

SALARY

$100,000 - $140,000 depending on relevant experience and location

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and represent clients in litigation proceedings, including trials, hearings, discovery, motion practice, etc.
  • Construct and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions and interact with expert witnesses.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys within the firm.
  • Maintain responsive communication with other attorneys and clients regarding case developments.
  • Provide legal counsel and develop case strategies tailored to clients' unique needs.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to provide client service befitting Firm standards of excellence and hospitality.
  • Oversee case files and manage deadlines efficiently using legal practice management systems.

    • Education, Experience, and Licensing

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Admitted to practicing law in the state of Michigan.
  • Have experience within the practice area of commercial litigation.
  • Supervisory experience a plus
