THE ROLE We are seeking a Director of Salesforce Managed Services to lead our managed services team. This director-level position will be a key member of our executive team, playing a crucial role in helping our clients enhance their business operations, enable sustainable change, and manage post-implementation backlogs with a proactive approach and meaningful service.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, a proven track record in managing service delivery teams, and will be responsible for the ongoing development and growth of our managed services practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Managed Services division, aligning with the company's overall objectives and market trends.
Define and execute strategies for targets, including existing clients and proposal opportunities. Drive the development and execution of processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of technical support operations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary contact for escalations, service reviews, and strategic discussions.
Identify areas for optimization and implement best practices and tools to maximize operational effectiveness and client satisfaction.
Manage the financial performance of the Managed Services division, including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and resource management.
Work with the sales team to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts. Provide technical expertise, solution consulting, and proposal development to support the sales process.
Manage client relationships, negotiate contracts, manage renewals, evaluate performance, and ensure alignment with service delivery objectives.
Develop and maintain metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track the performance of managed services operations. Regularly update the executive team on key performance indicators, trends, and issues.
Conduct regular service reviews to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our organization remains a leader in Salesforce Managed Services.
Stay up to date with Salesforce developments and ensure the team is trained and equipped to support clients effectively.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years in a leadership role within a professional services or consulting organization, with a track record of practice development.
3+ years of experience leading enterprise Salesforce implementation projects or managing delivery teams. Strong presentation and communication skills with both internal teams and clients.
Excellent customer-facing skills, professional presence, and entrepreneurial attitude Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies.
Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall) Proven ability to manage a team and oversee multiple clients and contracts. Proven ability to establish an offshore / onshore program or hybrid model.
Ability to manage a team offshore / onshore and oversee multiple initiatives at a time. Salesforce.com certifications and a deep understanding of Salesforce declarative and configuration skills, including familiarity with core product offerings.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Project Management) Proven experience in project management, specifically with Salesforce implementations or related CRM systems.
Demonstrated ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, set direction and approach, resolve conflicts, deliver tough messages, and execute with limited information and ambiguity.
