Lead QA Engineer

We are seeking a Lead QAEngineer for a fulltime and direct hire role for oneof our amazing partners in the Fort Lauderdale FL area.

This is ahybrid role that will require you to work onsite 3 days a week. Youwill help build an exciting new product that will revolutionizedigital marketing at a fastpaced startup under the umbrella of anestablished and successful business and leadership team.

Responsibilities :

• Create testing and automation strategies andapproaches that align with the companysgoals.
• You will maintain all QA artifacts inthe centralized repositories. That includes automation scopes andtest suites and all technical and process documentation about theproducts and projects.
• Collaborate with productowners developers and crossfunctionalteammates.
• Utilize develop and maintainautomation scripts using Selenium with Java and BDD and incorporatethem effectively into their products.
• Act as anescalation point for testing and quality assurance and operate asthe primary point of contact for the QAteams.
• Prioritize all testing tasks andscenarios based on their importance and ask appropriate questionsand escalations as needed to deliver the projects with high qualityand low and acceptable defect rates.
• Providetest coverage with product expertise and a strong understanding ofthe user stories to articulate its value to the projects andcustomers.
• Utilize automation scriptsefficiently for regression integration and functional testing toimprove quality and reduce turnaround time with automation teamsupport.
• Examine and confirm the traceabilitymatrix in Testpad that links the requirements to the testcases.
• Determine load testing scenarios byusing JMeter to integrate performance and load testing for bothfunctional use cases as well as API.
• Evaluateand participate in meeting Platform and Product Support ServiceDesk tickets SLA.
• Continuous QA improvements ontesting tools SDLC process test techniques andautomation.
• Implement new testing techniquesand test best practices for Cloudreleases.
• Optimize and maintain the regressiontest suite for all applications.
• Take part inagile sprint ceremonies including standups story grooming andestimation sprint planning and retros.
• Supportcrossteam tickets for integration testing.

Requirements :

• At least 3 years experience in a Lead QAEngineer role.
• Experience in QA working onmultiple projects with distributed agileteams
• Strong technical skills in bothfunctional and nonfunctional manual and automationtesting.
• At least 3 years experience in acontinuous delivery environment using Selenium with Java or Python& BDD and JMeter.
• Experience with SDLC andQA methodologies software testing principles concepts verificationand validation techniques and testmanagement.
• Experience with complex SQLstatements with advanced joins.
• Experienceexecuting automation test scripts to validate the implementation ofuser requirements.
• Strong background with APIsand API testing tools like Postman.
• Strongknowledge of risk management risk identification and riskbasedtesting.
• Ability to analyze data and usetesting metrics to find improvementopportunities.
• Good experience with cloudbasedsoftware development and technologies.
• Excitedabout understanding the business product and infrastructurecomponents.

• Experience working in Digital Marketingor with B2B SaaS products is a nice tohave.
• Experience configuring DevOps pipelines(Jenkins GitHub actions Bitbucket etc) is a nice tohave.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform(GCP) including GKE and BigQuery (or AWS) is a nice tohave.

Mynotes :

Role : This QA Lead is a new growthrole and will report to the Director of QA but will be primarilyfocused on the Centrifi side.

They will be the only QA on that teamfor now but they will work closely with the other QAs on the SiteImpact side as well.

They will work with a team of 5 engineers anda product owner at Centrifi but they also have some people on thedata side too.

Centrifi is about to launch their product on7 / 30 / 2024 so likely before this person starts. It is an endtoendsales enablement tool to help their agency partners sell locallyand has the potential to disrupt the market in a good way.

Its aplatform that combines proprietary technology datadriven businessintelligence and sophisticated digital marketing to enable largemedia companies and agencies to scale their focused ad saleseffortlessly.

This person will drive testing for this product andit will be a mix of manual and automation testing using Selenium.This role will be 50% leadership and 50% hands on and theres somebuiltin growth to potentially get promoted into Management role ina year or so.

They still have to work in the office hybrid eventhough the Director of QA and a few others are remote due toshutting down their office after covid.

The local team is great andhaving good communication to interact with them iskey.

Must haveskills : They need QA Lead or Management experienceto be able to make decisions but still be hands on. They need tohave automation testing experience using selenium but still be okdoing manual testing since its just them for now.

They need goodcommunication skills to interact with the local team developmentteam product team and with the offshore QA resources in India.

Theywork around EST time zone and they have stand ups at 8 : 30am EST. Noindustry experience needed and they dont need experience in aLAMP / PHP shop.

Fallshort : They had someone great and everyone loved herbut she lives between Jupiter and Port Saint Lucie and they areafraid shell get burned out and theyll have to replace her.

Alsomaking sure someone is ok working a hybrid onsite schedule whentheir boss and a few others are remote.

• Salary / Bonus : $105K$135Kyear salary plus 5% bonus.
• Interview : initial interview with the Dir of QA then inperson with 2 VPs ontech side and final inperson with Mike. If possible they will doall 3 inperson interviews on the same day for a 2 step process.
• The Director of QA is Renuka Chandran and shelives in Alpharetta GA. They used to have an office there butclosed it down after Covid.

QA Team : They have a Director of QA 3 QAs and this would bethe 4th and only lead. 1 person is local 1 is hybrid form northFlorida and 2 are in GA (they shut this office down after covid sothey work remotely.

They also have and offshore QA team in India.

Tech : They were a LAMP shopwith Vue Vue JavaScript jQuery PHP (Laravel or cord ignitor orsymphony). They had MySQL on the backend and were all Linux.

Theyuse Google Cloud (GCP).

Remote / Onsite : Mostemployees work a hybrid onsite schedule. Everyone is there onTuesday and Thursday but has their choice of the3
