About the Opportunity :
Are you passionate about teaching fitness skills that translate to real-world functions? Would you love to lead small group HIIT sessions using state-of-the-art equipment?
Join the JCC’s new functional fitness space and help those with health challenges, fitness seekers and performance-driven community members achieve their goals with progressive training plans and engaging classes!
In the Marcia and Bruce Sklare JFit Studio , the focus is on :
THRIVE
With opportunities to earn certifications and advanced training for this specialized training, you will lead population-specific programming including but not limited to assisting clients who have and need :
- Neuromotor, vestibular and cognitive concerns
- Sensory support
STRIVE
Small group programming
- Cardio, HIIT (high intensity interval training)
- Strength and endurance focused classes hosted in small group format in state-of-the-art setting with premium equipment, shock resistant flooring and hi-tech aesthetics.
DRIVE
Goal-oriented performance specific training classes / session
- Lead class participants through progressive goal-based programming for distance runners preparing for a mini-marathon to seasoned professionals training to race internationally.
- Lead functional weight lifting for various peer groups (senior strength, ladies who lift, etc.)
What you’ll be doing :
- Lead group ex classes with gusto and energy with an eye on maintaining a safe environment
- Welcome everyone to the class and learn everyone’s name
- Keep track of attendance and keep the studio neat and tidy
- Get to know about other classes and activities at the J and share that information with participants
- Keep choreography and music fresh
What you bring to the table :
- Current group exercise certification
- 1 -2 years of experience preferred
- Must be CPR & First Aid Certified
