WORK OBJECTIVE
Salary is based on experience and / or qualifications, and is subject to negotiation
Under the general direction of the CRA Executive Director or Director s designee. Incumbent in this position performs highly responsible work in the redevelopment and revitalization of the CRA.
Work involves responsibility for the administration of the office and direction of outside consultants and contracts; the assessment of commercial needs of the CRA;
strategic planning for the commercial corridors; and the development and implementation of programs to enhance, revitalize, redevelop and strengthen the City’s commercial tax base.
This employee shall assist the Executive Director and the Economic Development Manager in the development and implementation of the CRA s Implementation Plan and the City s an overall Economic Development Plan for the City;
recommend innovative programming, promotion and marketing strategies to strengthen and increase the commercial tax base within a framework of projects and programs which focus on sustainable development.
Provides technical, analytical, and administrative support relating to detailed financial, statistical, and budgetary, policy and procedure, and other operating procedures to devise efficient ways of accomplishing goals and objectives.
Work is performed independently under limited supervision with moderate latitude. Position typically requires knowledge of interdepartmental coordination and specialized knowledge of funding and allocation of costs for justification used in the preparation of annual assessments and special tax levies.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, architectural design or related field;
- supplemented by two or more years’ experience in performing project management, economic development, or accounting related tasks, preferably in a governmental or similar institutional environment;
or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and / or experience. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
