Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer position in Orlando, FL is responsible for the mechanical engineering of large-scale projects. This role involves mechanical system design from scratch, including stress calculations, load evaluations, material stress design, failure effects analysis, risk assessment, and system installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement integrated mechanical assembly systems
  • Conduct hazard analysis and develop mitigation strategies
  • Develop and document system configurations and design
  • Create mechanical design drawings and installation procedures
  • Analyze system performance, including stress and reliability calculations
  • Assist with start-up, debugging, and documentation of systems
  • Lead projects and guide junior engineers and technicians
  • Act as Project Manager on smaller projects, overseeing budgets and timelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and stress analysis
  • Experience in managing projects and leading teams

7. Do you have the ability to perform system analysis / calculations including : Stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, tolerance studies.

8. Do you have the knowledge of ride system design requirements for attractions involving guest accelerations, reach envelope, ingress / egress, weight, and emergency evacuation analysis and implementation upon control system failure in worst-case scenarios.

9. Are you proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office environments

10. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
