01-$45.00Department : 1170.90067 Slmc CardiologyPosition Summary : Under the general direction of the Practice Manager or Department Director, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists authorized users in the application and management of radionuclides, is involved in the procurement, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, administration, disposal, and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and Inject radiopharmaceuticals. Understand and safely operates 'hot lab' within Radioactive materials license.

Ability to demonstrate independent judgment in support of department objectivesObtain and process quality images with established protocolsUnderstands and operates Nuclear Cameras.

Required Knowledge & SkillsBasic computer skills. Ability to adapt to change and manage time. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment in the completion of assignments and duties.

Ability to speak and write English language fluently Education / Experince / LicensureRequired License / certification : Graduate from an American College of Radiology (ACR) approved school of training.

NMTCB, CNMT licensure.Current Radiologic Technologist (RAD) License in the State of Arizona. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
