JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following :
- Identify hardware and software applications to safely exchange data between remote sites, data centers, and cloud hosts.
- Visit field stores and sites to maintain a good understanding of technician capabilities and customer expectations.
- Regularly create, review, and revise internal technical documentation.
- Occasional travel for product testing and troubleshooting.
- Manage repositories for software and configuration files associated to our products.
- Create and maintain standardized deployment and maintenance processes for our Operations and Customer Support personnel to execute.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Line, and Operations to ensure compliance with network & security infrastructure.
- Independently plan and execute lab and offsite test procedures as required.
- Create and communicate accurate and achievable project schedules and plans. Projects may include multiple components and / or deliverables.
- Develop and deliver training curriculum to field and support personnel.
- Provide 3rd tier support during off hours if necessary.
Required Qualifications :
- Experience with multi-location networks
- BS in a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning and supporting VSAT / LTE / Wi-Fi installations
- Competent with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
- 2+ years of experience with routing, creating firewall rules, and applying security policies
- 2+ years of experience with centrally managed networks
- Must be willing to travel
Preferred Skillsets :
- Experience with Linux, Docker, and other IoT focused applications
- CompTIA & NSE certifications preferred
- Familiarity with Modbus, OPC-UA, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Experience configuring & deploying mesh wireless nodes
