What you'll do :
The Senior Accountant works as a member of the Finance Team and is responsible for managing all accounting transactions of assigned cost centers according to GAAP, prepare budget forecasts, review, analyze and publish financial statements in time.
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable sub-ledgers to general ledger, record and reconcile bank transactions, manage assigned balance sheet accounts, track grant expenditures and reimbursements, manage other expenses and submission of reimbursements.
Monthly financial analysis, and reviews with Program Directors. Provide financial guidance and support to assigned cost centers.
Producing, overseeing and analyzing all necessary financial information, projects, sales tax preparation, property tax and other filings related to the business.
Heavy advanced use of excel. This is an on-site position. This position reports to the Controller.
To be considered, you should :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 5-7 years of accounting experience and knowledge; or 8 years of prior accounting experience and knowledge may be substituted.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills required. Knowledge of Great Plains preferred.
- Be able to produce, review and analyze financial statements.
- Be able to perform bank reconciliations.
- Can perform Audit.
- Ability to reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ability to review detailed general ledgers and research transactions.
- Work in multiple financial software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Have good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Understand accounting according to GAAP .
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
