What you’ll be doing as an Aeronautical Logistics Engineering Specialist
The Aeronautical Logistics Engineering Specialist position is accountable for the analysis and technical coordination to develop affordable and supportable aircraft systems.
This position is primarily responsible for the development of maintenance procedures supporting aircraft airframes, engines and mechanical systems for commercial programs using the S1000D specification.You will :
- Develop aircraft maintenance procedures by combining the analysis of engineering designs with practical mechanical experience.
- Provide technical support for additional activities including the following :
- MSG-3 Scheduled Maintenance Analysis
- Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) development
- Industry documents and manuals across multiple platforms
- Engineering Design Assessment for Maintainability
- Functional and Operational Checks
- Fault Isolation
- Analyze and optimize the customers' maintenance experience after field introduction of the aircraft.
- Collaborate cross organizationally to ensure standardization and compliance for work processes.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role
- We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate for our customer.
- Airframe and Powerplant and / or Federal Communication Commission license is a clear indication of the breath of your aircraft knowledge.
- You’ll have a head start on the work if you already have S1000D and Standard Technical English experience preferred, and can research in CATIA V6, CAMS and Enovia preferred
What you need to be successful
Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in logistics, aeronautical science, or related field with 6-years’ experience in one of the following fields :
- Supportability engineering, logistics support analysis
- Technical publications development / authoring
- Aviation manufacturing planning experience
- Aviation design experience
You will need experience working with CAD and configuration management application
In lieu of degree, 2-year’s military or commercial maintenance experience will be considered with the additional experience listed above.
