Essential Job Functions :

• Teaching undergraduate or graduate course(s) in the classroom and online as assigned.
• Select teaching and evaluation strategies appropriate to the students and setting.
• Present ideas clearly.
• Create a climate that is conducive to learning.
• Stimulates intellectual curiosity.
• Provides perspectives that include a respect for diverse views.
• Provide and maintain a reliable schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation.
• Participate in department and college-wide committees and meetings.
• Engage in curriculum development related to current and new courses.
• Maintain a personal professional development plan, which may include research and / or other creative activities, to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
• Display behavior consistent with professional ethic.

• Mentor and / or orient new faculty as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
• Ability to effectively present information to student, public groups, or professional organization.
• Ability to work with appropriate mathematical concepts specific to the particular discipline.
• Ability to apply concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.).
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables simultaneously.

Job Requirements :

Required Certifications / Licensures : Eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.

Required Education : Terminal Degree (Highest degree in field of study).

Required Experience :

• Master's degree or higher level of education or currently enrolled in a doctoral program.
• Doctoral degree must be completed within seven (7) years of employment.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience and / or training, including research.
• Must obtain Florida licensure within three (3) years of employment.

Preferred Qualifications : Doctoral Degree (PhD, EdD, DPT, ScD, or equivalent) in an appropriate area of specialization.
