The Analyst will help expand our IT coverage by working within our collaborative research group alongside existing Analysts.
We seek specialization within Software, including an understanding of Application and Systems Software as well as Internet Services.
The Analyst should bring insights on the shifts from on-premise to cloud subscription models, enterprise resource planning, Machine Learning / AI applications, and effective capital allocation decision making.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating independently and will have strong analytical problem-solving and time management skills.

The Analyst’s contributions will be measured and rewarded objectively, based on the quality of recommendations and their subsequent performance, regardless of portfolio inclusion.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Qualify companies for fundamental research using Harding Loevner’s investment criteria.
- Conduct in-depth research, adhering to Harding Loevner’s structured process, and formulate forward looking views on assigned industries / regions and qualified companies.
- Maintain up-to-date financial models, recommendations, and investment mileposts using Harding Loevner’s databases.
- Produce value added stock recommendations that are coherent and aligned with the firm’s investment process.
- Clearly communicate to the Research Group about important developments of companies and industries under coverage through company specific research meetings, industry reviews, and timely email correspondence.
- Respond to communications from colleagues.
- Undertake frequent travel to vet companies, competitors, and develop deep industry expertise through due diligence.
This role is suited for candidates who have :
- Minimum of five years analyzing and recommending Software stocks as demonstrated through a track record of investment performance
- Strong academic record; CFA charter or MBA
- Capacity to make independent judgments
