HDR is seeking a talented Resources Business Group Manager to lead our growing Arizona - New Mexico practice. The Resources Business Group provides broad engineering and design, environmental, geospatial, planning, and programmatic services to an established client base both Arizona and New Mexico.

Through our professional staff, the Resources Business group at HDR provides expert consulting services for the power, renewables, industrial, waste, and mining markets.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the business and continue to diversify the client base.

Responsibilities also include leading strategic client and project pursuits, managing projects, providing technical services, staff administration, liaising with marketing support services, overseeing quality of deliverables, and supervising and mentoring staff.

The business group manager prepares annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitors performance of the business group, and sells and wins projects that match the expertise and developmental goals of the staff.

This position works cooperatively with the Area Manager, Regional Resources Business Group Manager and National Directors and coordinates services with other business lines in the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• All BS / MS degrees that support professional Business Development and Program Leadership will be considered. A BS / MS degree in Engineering, MBA, or a related Environmental Sciences degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience which include strong leadership experience in providing consulting services (engineering, environmental, or regulatory) for complex projects.

Specific knowledge of the Arizona and New Mexico market is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead client teams in support of client development and project execution.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational development, building and nurturing team structure for program growth and resiliency.
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams in an inclusive and proactive manner in executing high quality and timely work for clients.
• Committed to quality, process improvements, and upholding HDR values.
• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
• Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years experience
• Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
• Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
